BBC Radio Suffolk report a sharp increase in hoarding

Our founding CEO, Olive Quinton, spoken to Luke Deal from Radio Suffolk about the increase in people with hoarding issues since the beginning of the pandemic.

Olive explained that it is often traumatic life events, such as bereavement that cause people to hoard. These people often have mental health issues such as depression which they have haven’t received help with. They feel overwhelmed, embarrassed or ashamed and don’t know where to start.

Sometimes a medical emergency which requires the person to go into hospital reveals the extent of the problem.
